I teach two-day workshops and eight-week courses on how to be more strategic. I've written you three books on the topic. But you're busy, and you want me to boil it down, and I respect that, so here it is:
Strategists make their decisions with intention.
Every day, everyone chooses how to spend their money, which email to answer, who to put first, and how to tackle the 25 different things in front of them.
The people who make those choices in a goal-oriented fashion (i.e. 'how can I do this in a way that takes me towards the thing I want?') are being strategic. It's as simple and difficult as that.
Goal-oriented choices, made consistently, will deliver you almost anything you want.
All you have to do is work out what you want, but that's another kettle of fish.
Here's a 20-second video about it. You might also like this article, which includes 15 signs you're a strategist.
Til next week,
