Do What Scares You.

Do What Scares You.

What are you afraid of?

What do you wish you could do, and think about all the time, but stop yourself from doing?

Is it a work thing? A personal thing? A money thing?

... what's stopping you?

Mate, you only get one go. One crack at living an interesting life, and having some scars and war stories to show for it.

Worst case scenario, it all blows up in your face and you'll have a great story to tell. You'll probably have learned a few things about yourself, and the world, that you didn't know before - and if you're lucky, you'll make a few friends along the way.

Safe is boring, and you weren't put here to be boring.

The good news is: while you spend a lot of time worrying about what people think of you, most people aren't watching and don't care. There's very few things you can't recover from and people's memories are very short.

You could be a spectacular failure, and most people would be too busy worrying if you've noticed they've gained weight to even see it. How good is that?

Here's a few tips to manage your fear of failure:

1. Write down all the worst things that could possibly happen if you fail

2. Plan how you'd respond if they did

3. Realise there's literally nothing you can't handle

4. Take a deep breath

5. Take the first step.

I reckon you're capable of a lot more than you give yourself credit for. You know it too, or you wouldn't keep thinking about it.

Go on. Have a wee go.

A.
